In an earlier note I'd mentioned sharing some of the audio from the first month on the site.... Nothing mind blowing but these visitors were consistent and these two recordings were very typical of what I heard the first months there. They walk about a lot.
These were recorded June 26th and 27th, 2012. I was keeping good records, in the form of a spiral journal. That day I had continued my attack on the 7 to 8 foot tall weeds in the back. My weapon of mass weed destruction was a rusty machete from Texas. While working my way to the right side of the yard, I discovered an area that had been flattened.
I crawled inside the area, it was about 5 feet by 7 feet. I couldn't tell how long it had been there, but whatever made it had an excellent line of sight of the entire back side of the house. Interesting.
I had been recording close to the house, and picking up a lot of noise from my neighbor's pool. So I moved my chair halfway down to the berm, (probably 150 feet away from the house). That night I started my recorder at 10:02pm. The temperature for the night was predicted to be 53 degrees.
It is best to listen with headphones.....It's not something crashing through... but it sounds bipedal and you can hear it stepping on the grass. The movement was recorded at 11:30pm. And the next morning the food I'd carried down to the berm had been taken.

The second audio was clipped out of a nine hour recording from June 27th. I started recording at 9:08pm....and this interesting sound occurred at 3:24am. At the 14 second mark you hear movement, then the vocal at 25. Again it's best with headphones.
This was my job when I first arrived. And I absolutely loved having the time to pour over the recordings. One night I started hearing a really subtle pattern. Could it really be? Something or someone had fallen asleep down on the berm?
